Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 16, 2026
CozyAppLab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Jibunshi mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the App. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
All personal content you create in the App — including daily logs, stories, projects, episodes, milestones, and journal entries — is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to this content.
If you contact us via email for support or feedback, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
(a) Subscription Data. We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect:
- Anonymous user identifiers
- Purchase and subscription status
- Device type and operating system
(b) App Store Data. Apple App Store and Google Play Store may collect information related to your purchases and app usage in accordance with their own privacy policies.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Your name, phone number, or physical address
- The content of your journals, daily logs, or stories
- Photos, audio, or other media from your device
- Contacts or calendar data
- Precise GPS location
- Health data (health-related entries in your journal are stored only on your device)
- Browsing history outside the App
- Analytics or telemetry beyond what is collected by the subscription service
2. How We Use Information
2.1 To Provide the Service. Your locally stored data powers the App’s core features (journaling, timeline visualization, daily records). This data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account if you enable backup.
2.2 To Manage Subscriptions. Subscription data processed by RevenueCat is used solely to verify your subscription status and provide access to premium features.
2.3 To Send Local Notifications. If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. Notification data is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
2.4 To Improve the App. We may use aggregated, anonymized information (such as crash reports provided through Apple’s or Google’s developer tools) to identify bugs and improve the App.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 On-Device Storage. All journal and personal data is stored in an SQLite database on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal content.
3.2 iCloud Backup. If you enable iCloud backup, your data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account. This is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and security practices. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
3.3 Data Export. The App allows you to export your data as a JSON file. Exported files are stored on your device or shared via methods you choose. We have no access to exported files.
3.4 Security Measures. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the App’s integrity. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use device-level security features (passcode, biometrics) to protect your data.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |

| Google Play Store | Distribution, purchases | policies.google.com/privacy |
We recommend reviewing these third-party privacy policies to understand how your data may be processed.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. All content created within the App is stored locally on the user’s device, and we do not collect personal information.

To exercise any of these rights regarding data processed by third-party services (subscriptions), please contact us or the relevant third party directly.
7. International Data Transfers
Your locally stored data remains on your device. However, third-party services (RevenueCat) may transfer data internationally. These services maintain their own data protection measures and comply with applicable data transfer regulations.
8. Data Retention
8.1 Local Data. Your data remains on your device for as long as you choose to keep it. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.
8.2 iCloud Data. iCloud backup data is retained according to Apple’s data retention policies and your iCloud storage management.
8.3 Third-Party Data. Data collected by RevenueCat is retained according to its retention policy.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or other appropriate means. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when the latest revision was made. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
11. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal basis for processing your data through third-party services is contract performance (for subscription management). You may exercise your GDPR rights by contacting us.
